Logistics Senior Specialist (External)
About the job
Objective of Position
The Logistics Senior Specialist is responsible for logistics support for warehouse operations including capturing/revising inbound invoices, Location management/warehouse capacity optimization, and coordinating with 3PL / MPC HSSE in all health and safety regulations. The function covers all GSP/ODC & GSP/ODW communication for claiming of shortage and damages and warehouse space optimization respectively.
Main tasks
Logistics Support
Capturing and revising all GLC invoices to prepare for posting.
Recording all incoming shipments.
Recording and maintaining all discrepancy records including the scrap
Arranging and supervising the grief area / Accessories.
Supporting in scrapping process and stock taking
Challenging the storage accuracy by manual or system perpetual counts
Revising and supervising the binning process.
Documenting and implementing any new process through the ISO registration process.
Health & Safety Coordinator
Implementing location incident management in coordination with quality management.
Acting as location health & Safety coordinator according to MPC/GSP regulations.
Working closely with MPC and 3PL HSSE to follow up with all required health & safety regulations and Tasks.
Supervising any location work or needed regulation for safe handling of goods.
Warehouse Operations
Optimizing space and enhancing warehouse capacity.
Checking fast movers for quantity and location checks.
Challenging 3PL for daily reported errors or wrong binning.
Working closely with GSP/ODW for space optimization and warehouse design.
Adjusting bin locations according to storage needs.
Implementing bar-code scanners for inbound/outbound operations.
Following Daimler standards in bin locations definition.
GLC Claiming
Capturing all claims to GLC and follow up with the feedback per claim.
Keeping track of all over-delivery, under-delivery, wrong packaging, damaged, and missing packages.
Reporting all cases through StarOrder Plus and follow up with the credit notes.
Analyzing of all credit notes to be added to the actual expenses by year-end.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or supply chain is preferable. Business Administration/Finance/Commerce from a reputable university
Experience: 3-6 years of experience is required in related fields
Soft skills/individual competence
Knowledge of spare parts systems is optional
Aware of standard supply chain and logistics functions
Excellent knowledge of MS Office Applications (Excel-PowerPoint-Word)
