في يوليو 2014، رئيس هاليبرتون زار وزير البترول المصري.هاليبرتون أنشأت معمل سيجاس للإسالة في دمياط في 2003. وناقشت هاليبرتون وزير خارجية قبرص، في 1998، لمد أنبوب غاز من مصر لها. وهو المشروع الذي قال لي سامح فهمي (في مايو 2014) أن هاليبرتون كانت تتفاوض بشأنه بدون علم مصر. وأن مصر علمت به بالصدفة من وزير البترول السوري.

أهم أنشطة شركة هاليبرتون
شركة هاليبرتون تعمل فى خدمات هندسية لأبار البترول و تشييد مصافى النفط و التموين و تتمثل فى مجموعة خدمات الطاقة و التي تقدم المنتجات البترولية و الخدمات التقنية لصناعة استكشاف و إنتاج النفط و الغاز و الثانية هى كيه بى أر KBR و هى شركة إنشاءات عملاقة لمصافى البترول وحقول البترول و خطوط الأنابيب .
